FINGLAS COMMUNITY TRAINING CENTRE
Finglas CTC is a voluntary organisation and a leading provider of
youth training programmes to young people from Finglas and the
surrounding area. Applications are invited from suitably qualified
persons for the post of:
INSTRUCTOR TO COVER MATERNITY LEAVE
(Six month fixed term contract starting early September)
Finglas CTC provides vocational training and education options to meet
the needs of young people aged **Apply on the website** to **Apply on
the website** years from our community who have left mainstream school
early. The instructor will be responsible for delivering a range of
modules within the QQI curriculum, in particular Mathematics and
English.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
* A recognised qualification in Mathematics and/or English, or
similar discipline
* Experience of working with young people in non-formal settings
* A learner-centred approach
* An ability to deliver flexible and creative training options that
engage all learners
* The capability to work across a diverse range of projects
* Excellent communication, teamwork and ICT skills
* At least 2 years proven experience of delivering one or more of
the aforementioned modules.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
* Designing, delivering, assessing and monitoring of learner
coursework to QQI level standards
* Reporting to the Centre Manager on a day-to-day basis
* Supporting learners in developing an Individual Learning Plan
* Direct supervision of learners
* Assisting with the CTC team planning, development and
implementation of CTC services within the Training Standards System.
